“Having worked in the workforce for eighteen years, I realized that furthering my education would not only allow me to get a better job, but also would provide the opportunity for greater benefits. I recently graduated with a Bachelor Degree of Science in Human Resource Management from Western Kentucky University. I am currently working on my Master of Arts in Education, something I never dreamed that I would do. I am also employed at KCTCS as a Transitional Specialist, and GED Instructor. It has now become my focus to help students recognize the value of Post-Secondary education. Each day I am reaffirmed in the fact that this is my ideal job. I work with students who believed they would never be successful in school and I get to see their excitement as they prepare for, and enroll in college.”
